Ten hour bus tour to Kantishna in Denali National Park.

30 minutes from the Denali National Park entrance to Savage River. The Park road is unpaved after the Savage River bridge, at mile 14. During the summer you can't take your personal vehicle beyond this point.

Healy area is often windy which blows away much of the snow, whereas Cantwell keeps more snow coverage. Anderson is often 10 degrees colder than the Denali Park area.

Spring, referred to as "Break Up" because of melting ice and snow, is from April to May. Summer: June, July and August are our popular tourist months. With Autumn fast approaching by the end of August and in September and October.

Denali Park Canyon

This is an area of highway five minutes north of the Denali National Park with lodging, shopping and dining of all kinds that is open generally from May 15th to September 15th. The Canyon area shuts down and board up during the "off" season.

Denali National Park is open year round, however the access road deep into the park is closed to Winter tourism.
The Road Lottery
- The Denali National Park allows patrons to be able to drive their personal vehicle all the way to the end of the Park road only once a year at the end of the season in September. Entries are submitted in June. For more details please go to http://www.nps.gov/dena/planyourvisit/road-lottery.htm
Groceries
- Main grocery stores are located in larger cities of Fairbanks and Wasilla/Anchorage. There are a few small grocery stores along the Parks Highway but you will also find gas stations with your basic supplies.
